CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1201) Study Guide 2026
$34.99
A+ Core 1, explained in plain English and mapped to the current exam objectives.
Core 1 is the first of the two exams that together earn the CompTIA A+. It covers five domains: mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualisation and cloud computing, and hardware and network troubleshooting. The exam is a maximum of 90 questions in 90 minutes, mixing multiple-choice with performance-based items, and is passed at 675 on a 100 to 900 scale. Passing Core 1 alone does not certify you.
In this study guide, you will find:
- A short chapter for every one of the 27 Core 1 objectives, so you can study a single objective without reading around it.
- Exam Tips, Common Pitfalls and Key Takeaways in every chapter, flagging the exact distinctions CompTIA tests and the answers that look right under time pressure.
- 133 practice questions with explained answers, covering the correct choice and why each distractor is wrong.
- Worked performance-based drills on the scenarios Core 1 actually sets, including SOHO configuration and a new workstation build.
- A glossary covering the acronyms and terms the exam assumes you already know.
Why Simply Certified
Simply Certified is a study guide series for working professionals who need to certify efficiently, without a two-thousand-page reference. Chapters and practice questions are both mapped to the certifying body's published exam objectives, so your practice results point directly to the domains that need more work.
This is the 2026 to 2027 edition, written to the CompTIA A+ V15 Core 1 (220-1201) exam objectives.
